Janet Edwards

ReachTV Director

Holds a degree in electrical engineering from the US Air Force Academy and an MBA from UNL. After working on the Titan Launch Vehicle Program at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and as a satellite software engineer for the Defense Meteorology Satellite Program, Janet became a stay home mom to 4 children. Inspired to start ReachTV after realizing that the issues her own children faced at school and were occurring all over the country.


Jamie Kassler

ReachTV Creative Producer

Received his second Master’s of Fine Arts at the FSU College of Motion Picture Arts, focused in Film Production. His films have been accepted to international film festivals, winning several awards and honors. Jamie has worked previously in Digital Domain Media Group’s Feature Animation Division. He was compelled to join ReachTV based on his childhood experiences and his passion for encouraging and empowering today's youth.


Enrique Varela

ReachTV Web Master

Has over 20 years experience in advertising and communications, has developed web projects for Latin America and the United States, his passion are websites that provide opportunities to help people in need. Currently lives in Honduras, making social work projects, helping communities that live under the poverty line, leading missions trip with U.S. churches. His motto is: "Live to Serve."


Educational Advisors


Heather Arnold

Graduated from UCF with a degree in elementary education. She has been teaching for 18 years at various grade levels and is currently teaching 5th grade. Heather feels ReachTV is genuinely needed in schools, based on what she sees in the classroom, hallways, lunchroom, and recess field.


Carl Barone, Ph.D.

Earned a BS in education from SUNY, a Master's of Education Degree from University of Tampa. After 19 years as a teacher and curriculum specialist, Carl was a Principal for 15 years and received Hillsborough County's Outstanding Principal of the Year in 1993. Carl is also a published author, keynote speaker, workshop developer, and consultant on educational issues such as Cultural Diversity, Changing School Climate, Raising Self-esteem, and Integrated Learning Systems.


Channing Gerber

A graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic with a degree in elementary education, Channing is currently teaching 3rd grade. She is the most recently educated member of our team and has a heart for helping all kids thrive. She is particularly skilled at meeting the needs of each individual student.


Gina Dankenbring

School Related Employee of the Year 2011 - Martin County, Florida. Head Start Assistant Teacher for 5 years. Gina is currently an elementary school Media Assistant with 6 years experience and has an amazing rapport with children at all grade levels. She sees ReachTV as an innovative way to teach elementary students life enhancing skills.


Sharon Kilcourse

As a Preschool Teacher with 6 years of experience, Sharon's students have earned perfect scores in State VPK testing. In addition, Sharon is known for teaching preschoolers how to care about others and how to make the world a better place through good character and friendship.


William Nicoll, Ph.D

With degrees from the UNH, BU and the University of Arizona, Bill brings over 40 years of professional experience as a university professor and department chair, special education teacher, school counselor, and therapist. Bill is also an internationally renowned speaker, consultant, trainer, and author as well as an expert in a variety of topics such as: grief, resilience-focused counseling/therapy, social-emotional learning, bully proof schools, home-school collaboration, developing resilience in children & adolescents, and the characteristics of effective families, classrooms, and schools.


Susan Paul, Ed.D.

Holds a degree in elementary education and a Master's in Library and Information Science from FSU and a doctorate from Argosy University in Educational Leadership. In 25 years as a teacher, media specialist, and administrator, Susan has dealt with bullying on many levels and hopes to inspire students to make better choices to ensure different outcomes. She is currently an Assistant Principal in an overseas DOD school.


Susan Reynolds

Graduated from FAU with a Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education (Pre-K – 3rd grade) and in Elementary Education (1st – 6th grade). Currently teaching 2nd grade. Has an uncanny ability to motivate kids to do the right thing in a very positive way. Her keen observation skills make kids aware of consequences if they continue their actions. This awareness prevents behavior problems from escalating by identifying them before they start.
